Agreement and eligibility
By creating an account or using BetterBite, you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy. You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, a parent or legal guardian must approve your use of BetterBite and these terms.
Your account
You must provide accurate information, keep your login credentials secure, and promptly notify us of suspected unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity performed through your account. One person may not create multiple accounts to repeatedly obtain trials or avoid service limits.
The BetterBite service
BetterBite offers nutrition logging, scanning, progress tools, Kitchen features, and AI-assisted guidance. Features, plan allowances, and availability may change as the service improves. You may use BetterBite only for lawful, personal, non-commercial purposes unless we give written permission otherwise.
Nutrition and health disclaimer
BetterBite provides estimates and general wellness information, not medical care. Scan results and Coach responses may be incomplete or inaccurate because portions, recipes, preparation, labels, restaurant information, and AI output vary. BetterBite does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or condition and is not a substitute for a physician, registered dietitian, or other qualified professional. Do not use BetterBite for emergencies or make medical decisions solely from its output.
Subscriptions, trials, and cancellation
Paid plans renew automatically at the monthly or annual interval shown before purchase unless canceled. Trial eligibility and duration are displayed before enrollment, and a trial may convert to a paid subscription unless canceled before it ends. App Store purchases are billed and managed by the applicable app store account. Other purchases are handled by the payment provider shown at checkout. You can cancel through that same provider and retain access through the current paid period. Cancellation stops future renewals but does not refund the current charge.
Refunds
Except where required by applicable law or the mandatory rules of the platform or payment provider that processed the purchase, all BetterBite membership charges are final and non-refundable. We do not provide prorated refunds or credits for unused time, partial billing periods, accidental purchases, failure to cancel, dissatisfaction, or lack of use. App marketplace requests remain subject to that marketplace's rules. Review our refund and cancellation policy for details.
Acceptable use
You may not interfere with BetterBite, bypass access or usage controls, probe or attack its systems, scrape the service, share or resell account access, reverse engineer protected portions of the service, submit unlawful or harmful content, use automated methods to generate excessive scans or Coach messages, or use BetterBite to develop a competing service. Reasonable rate, usage, upload, and cost controls may apply to protect users and service availability.
Your content
You keep ownership of content you submit. You give BetterBite a limited license to host, store, reproduce, analyze, and process that content only as needed to operate, secure, support, and improve the service. You confirm that you have the right to submit the content and that it does not violate another person's rights.
Intellectual property
BetterBite, its design, software, branding, and original content are owned by BetterBite or its licensors. These terms grant a limited, personal, non-transferable right to use the service.
Third-party services
BetterBite relies on third-party services for functions such as authentication, hosting, AI processing, payments, and app distribution. Their separate terms may apply to your use of those services. BetterBite is not responsible for third-party products or services outside our control.
Suspension and termination
You may stop using BetterBite and request account deletion at any time. We may limit, suspend, or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect BetterBite or its users, respond to legal requirements, address nonpayment, or enforce these terms. Sections that logically survive termination remain effective.
Availability and changes
We work to keep BetterBite available but do not guarantee uninterrupted, secure, or error-free operation. We may modify or discontinue features and will provide notice when required. Material changes to these terms will be posted with a new effective date.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, BetterBite is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. BetterBite is not responsible for decisions made solely from estimates or recommendations. To the fullest extent permitted by law, BetterBite's total liability related to the service will not exceed the amount you paid to BetterBite during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so portions of this section may not apply to you.
